Project Details
HIJAU carried out the installation of a 7,144 kWp rooftop solar PV system at a factory located in Karawang. The project commenced in November 2024 and was completed in September 2025. Through this project, HIJAU helped reduce the use of fossil fuels, lower carbon emissions, and minimize negative environmental impacts.
Challenges
The installation process of the solar PV system at the battery factory took place during the rainy season, presenting its own set of challenges. Despite this, HIJAU remained committed to delivering the project on schedule, maintaining high safety standards, and fostering strong communication between the company, the technical team, and all other relevant stakeholders.
Our Solution
HIJAU designs solar PV systems tailored to the specific needs of each factory. HIJAU’s solar PV systems are built to withstand all weather conditions, including lightning. The system uses high-quality solar PV components to maximize the use of solar energy and reduce electricity costs from the national grid (PLN). HIJAU also conducts regular monitoring and maintenance.
Result
The successful collaboration between the electric battery factory in Karawang and HIJAU resulted in an installed capacity of 7,144 kWp. This rooftop solar PV installation delivers a positive impact by reducing carbon emissions by 171,044 tons, equivalent to planting 273,670 trees. This initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to transitioning toward environmentally friendly renewable energy.
