Overview
HIJAU is collaborating with PT Samitex Sewon to develop a rooftop solar PV system at its facility in Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The project supports the company's commitment to more sustainable industrial operations through the adoption of renewable energy.
Project Details
The solar PV system has a total installed capacity of 970.2 kWp and is designed to supply electricity to support the facility's operational demand.
Challenges
The project faces potential performance challenges from dust and volcanic ash accumulation on solar modules, as well as shading from nearby utility poles, which may reduce solar electricity generation.
Our Solution
HIJAU will implement more frequent, condition-based maintenance to maintain module cleanliness and system performance. Shading analysis will also be conducted to assess the impact of nearby utility poles and determine whether mitigation measures are required.
Result
The project has an estimated carbon emission reduction of 18,783 tons of CO₂, equivalent to planting approximately 37,566 trees. Actual impacts of dust accumulation and shading on system performance will be evaluated through maintenance monitoring and electricity generation analysis.
